I spend a great deal of my time attending various business seminars throughout the country and I must be honest, it can often be tough. Many of the speakers that are hired at these events offer the same, tired wisdom and similar speeches which are given through monotone voices. Every now and agin however, someone takes to the stage who instantly engages you and sparks a fire of inspiration inside you. The last time this happened to me was when some of the guys from financial services company Patriot Choice Inc. took to they stage to deliver a rousing speech. Not everyone is fortunate to go to these kind of events and so in order to offer you some inspiration in business, I wanted to share some of my favorite quotes which you can follow and be motivated by.
Oprah Winfrey
“Every time you state what you want or believe, you’re the first to hear it. It’s a message to both you and others about what you think is possible. Don’t put a ceiling on yourself”
Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy’s
“What do you need to start a business? Three simple things: know your product better than anyone. Know your customer, and have a burning desire to succeed.”

“When I’m old and dying, I plan to look back on my life and say ‘wow, that was an adventure,’ not ‘wow, I sure felt safe.’ “
Bill Rancic, Entrepreneur
If it really was a no–brainer to make it on your own in business there’d be millions of no–brained, harebrained, and otherwise dubiously brained individuals quitting their day jobs and hanging out their own shingles. Nobody would be left to round out the workforce and execute the business plan
Dennis Waitley, Motivational Speaker
The winners in life think constantly in terms of I can, I will, and I am. Losers, on the other hand, concentrate their waking thoughts on what they should have or would have done, or what they can’t do
Steve Jobs, Apple founder
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.”

“Money is like gasoline during a road trip. You don’t want to run out of gas on your trip, but you’re not doing a tour of gas stations.”
Harland Sanders, KFC Founder
“I made a resolve then that I was going to amount to something if I could. And no hours, nor amount of labor, nor amount of money would deter me from giving the best that there was in me. And I have done that ever since, and I win by it. I know.”
